Day 4: To Work and Back Again
It was a sizzling 27°C in the city today. Fortunately it hadn’t quite hit those highs as a set out for work this morning. I was testing out yet another GPS app for my iPhone and this one was called Runtastic. Some very clever, considered features included in this app. I appreciated the 15 secs countdown to your session after clicking the start button which enabled me to get myself all set (iPhone secured, check traffic, etc). It also made an announcement every kilometre with the time elapsed. The best bit is that it told me that I managed to get to work (11.20km) in 27 minutes and 50 seconds. A record.
Returning home I fired up RunKeeper again. I think this is one of my faves. By this time the temperatures had soared and it was sweltering. Before I set off I bought a bottle of red wine from M&S to enjoy with the Fajitas Adele was cooking up when I made it home. It was a quick time again 29 minutes and 36 seconds. Spent some time in the sandpit with H.
