Day 8: Sound the vuvuzelas!
The World Cup is on the horizon and the excitement is mounting around the globe. However, tonight in Brixton another, lesser publicised, footballing spectacle took place. The event is known as ‘Tuesday Nights Five-a-side’ and pitted the reds against the blues in an intense battle for victory in humid conditions. The tension was visible. The red team fought hard, for whom I was playing, but we missed some many chances we deserved to lose, which we did; so on second thoughts I think the vuvuzelas are better off silenced.
